League Results 27.04.2008 Totnes & Dartington SC, the new Devon Women’s League champions, continued their impressive season with a win over runners up Exmouth Town . Michelle Weeks hit a brace with Nikki Brister and Karen Smith also scoring in their side’s win. The other game played in the Premier Division saw Dawlish Town put five goals past the University of Plymouth . Laura Gough and Siobhan Cockram both netted doubles in Town’s last game of the season. The win wasn’t enough to move above fourth placed Plymouth who finish their season only five points behind Exeter Rangers.

Old Suttonians have secured promotion to the Premier Division after winning Division One. The South Devon side had to wait until their last game of the season to move above Exeter City COE with only one point separating the two sides. Kerry King (2), Tracey Beards and Sam Harrison all got their names on the scoresheet in their side’s win over Ivybridge Town . The loss meant Town couldn’t hold onto third spot, Georgham & Croyde’s draw with Rolle Rockets moving them above Ivybridge on goal difference.

League Results 20.04.2008
Totnes & Dartington SC were crowned winners of the Devon Women’s League Premier Division after their win away at Holsworthy. Nikki Brister, Kelsey Taylor and Laura Shearer all found the back of the net to put Totnes on 28 points. Exmouth Town remain second on 24 points despite losing to Exeter Rangers, Laura Bennett and Bec Hazell on target for Rangers. With one game left to play a win for Town would not challenge Totnes. The other game played in the Premier Division saw the University of Plymouth run out winners over bottom placed Feniton. Fiona Strong netted a hatrick with goals from Michelle Rysdale and Gemma Thorne. The win secures fourth spot for the students.

In Division One the title race heats up as Old Suttonians close the gap on leaders Exeter City COE. The hammering of Rolle Rockets means only two points separate City and Old Sutts. A win for Old Sutts in their final game of the season could make them Division One winners.

Lipson United ended their first season in the Women’s League in style in the highest scoring game of the day. Becky Richards scored a hatrick with Louise Hurdnall hitting a brace and Leah Marley rounding off the scoring before an own goal sealed the win. Despite the heavy loss Phoenix Club finish as Division Two runners up.
