10.05.2009 - The Devon Women's League 2008/2009 season cumulated in a dramatic closing weekend with two local derbys and the Premier Division Runners Up being decided.

Old Suttonians were crowned winners of the Premier Division last weekend after enjoying a 5-2 win over Exeter Rangers. Dawlish Town sat in the runners up spot but Exmouth were in a position that could have seen them move above Dawlish.

Exmouth Town played host to fourth placed Alphington but in a dramatic sevon goal game, Town finished their season in fourth. Alphington won the local derby allowing Dawlish to claim runners up spot.

Old Suttonians topped off their impressive season by beating the University of Plymouth. In a match that saw the top of the table play the bottom, Old Sutts were too strong an opponent with Kerry King, Lauren Wallinger and Kaylee Fitzpatrick all scoring.
